UNIPACS DICOM VIEWER

UniPACS DICOM Viewer is a small and free subset of the UniPACS Viewing Workstation. It will allow you to open DICOM files, analyze them with the most common tools (window/level, zoom, etc.), save DICOM images into BMP, PGM, JPEG or Power Point files, and anonymize your DICOM data.

The viewer loads the images and automatically groups them by patient studies. You can open as many images as your hardware can handle (using File->Load option). For instance, you can keep different patients in different folders on your hard drive, and load them by folders, thus implementing a simple and robust file database. When the images are loaded, use image tabs to conveniently switch between the studies, and use Layout option to organize the images within each study.

When you use any of the image analysis tools (window/level, zoom, magnifying glass, etc.), right-click to access the tool options. For instance, when in the zoom mode (with pushed "Zoom" tool button), right-click if you want to pan the zoomed image, and switch to the pan mode. When you do the measurements, right-click to see the measurement result, or read it directly from the status bar on the bottom.
Use Orient toolbar button to build complex planar reconstructions on a fly.

Use File->SaveAs... for one-click image export, including creating PowerPoint presentations.

We plan to keep the Viewer free, in return for any comments and improvement suggestions that you can provide. The viewer is constantly updated based on your feedback. Please send all your comments to opiany@gmail.com. The program will work on any Windows PC and does not require any installation: download, unzip and run.
